Puppy Bandana completes 3 peak challenge

August 12th, 2013

What an achievement! Did you know that Puppy Bandana walked up three great big mountains recently without even breaking into a sweat? And we did it in just 6 hours!  Puppy Bandana has been to the top of Dollywaggon Pike, Nethermost Pike & Helvellyn and we’ve got the photos to prove it!

Confession time…

Anyone who knows me well knows that I would NEVER sign up for this!  Not in a million years!  I consider this kinda thing an extreme sport.  It’d be far too dangerous to my health.  My legs would ache and I’d hold everyone else up with my tea breaks and my moaning.  The most walking I’m prepared to do is around a shopping centre.  Walking for more than an hour (but less than 2 hours) is only acceptable if there’s a beer garden, a pint of cider and a ploughman’s at the end of it.

So how did we manage the 3 peak challenge?  Simple, we sent a representative called Mollie.  Mollie is a 2 & half yr old Sprocker Spaniel, born & bred in Lancaster who kindly volunteered to be team mascot for Piccadilly Garden on a charity walk in the lake district.  Mollie popped on her Red Spotty Hanky Puppy Bandana and busied herself backwards and forwards encouraging and motivating all the human hill walkers and generally keeping up morale. Mollie drew lots of attention in her eye-catching dog bandana and she loved every minute of it.

Well done Mollie and thanks for taking Puppy Bandana with you!
